Carrie Fisher is finally getting her long-overdue posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this May the 4th, and we hope you’ll join us as we watch the streaming ceremony together and talk about one of Carrie’s fiercest advocacy topics – mental health.
We’ll be streaming from 1-4pm EDT/10am-1pm PDT. Carrie’s ceremony is scheduled to start around 2:30pm EDT/11:30am PDT. We don’t know who all will be speaking at the event, but we know her daughter Billie Lourd will be receiving the honor on Carrie’s behalf.
We’re sure to also talk about plenty of other Star Wars-centered topics around disability and illness related to our Resilience Squadron mission. We might also be watching some of the new Star Wars media that’ll be released that day, especially if it relates to the themes we cover. (We’re especially interested in Visions Season 2 and the first short, Sith.)
Note that we’ll do our best to provided generated closed captions for our conversation, and hope to provide a transcript of the recording after it’s over.
